Biography
Graduated as Electronic Engineer with specialization in microprocessor design and software. He has been a promoter of early adoption of technology and innovation for over 35 years. He was co-founder of the first UNIX company in Mexico and President of Onyx Technologies in Silicon Valley in California. He founded Red Uno, the company that introduced the Internet in Mexico and was President of the national data network of Telmex, Director General of Carso Global Telecom, Vice-President of the Boar of Prodigy in New York and member of the Board of Directors of Telmex. He was a founding member of IT Florida and President of Florida 2.0 Initiative (FL2i).
He is co-founder and President of QoS Labs in Mexico, dedicated to Internet architectures and service-oriented knowledge management (Web 3.0) and of Spribo in the United States, dedicated to research and services in the field of Knowledge Networks. He is a member of the Executive Council and Coordinator of Living Labs of the Mexican Technology Platform for Innovation that serves as a vehicle for cooperation with the the European Union and Latin America, and a founding member and Co-Chair of the Mexico-United States Entrepreneurship and Innovation Council (MUSEIC Innovation Cluster Subcommittee as a vehicle for cooperation with the United States.
