Juan José Cué
Biography
Juan José Cué is Minister of Digital Innovation and Communications at the Municipio de Puebla, Puebla, Mexico. He is in charge of the Puebla Smart City Platform.
He served as Director of Marketing and Digital Technologies in Puebla Communications within the Government of the State of Puebla from 2011 to 2013 where he promoted the State Network of Education, Health and Government, making Puebla to become the first state to be connected to the National Inclusion Network of Broadband services.
He has participated in the design and implementation of various campaigns, like 150th Anniversary of Cinco de Mayo, Tianguis, Zero Holding, Seguro Popular, Literacy Crusade, Distance Education, a New Criminal Justice System, 01800 HONEST, and 066.
In the business arena, he has held various positions in the transport industry within companies like Autobuses Estrella Blanca (2006-2010) and Bus Red Star (2001-2006). In this period he was national advisor of the National Chamber of Passengers and Tourism (CANAPAT).
He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering with honors Cum Laude, from the University of the Americas Puebla (1997) where he was president of the board of Industrial Engineering. He obtained a master degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Stanford University. He also graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he earned his master’s degree in Logistics. He is currently Secretary of the MIT Alumni Association in Mexico. Since his stay at Stanford University and MIT, he has been involved in innovation technologies.
