Rafael Ferrer Flores

Rafael is exploring how musical phenomena is processed and assimilated by human beings. Such an endeavour demands a multidisciplinary perspective, which he accomplishes by combining methodologies from sciences and humanities. He received a Master’s degree in Music, Mind and Technology, and a Ph.D. in Musicology from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, at the Finnish Centre of Excellence in Interdisciplinary Music Research. He is a professor in the department of Digital Music Production in the school of Engineering, and researcher at the Knowledge Society Group from the School of Education, Social Sciences and Humanities of the Tecnológico de Monterrey, Puebla, México.
